earthconnect completed a 29.64kW Solar Energy System for the Hunter Valley Chicken Farm, Tomago.
The System will provide the Chicken Farm with approximately 43.8MWh of Renewable Energy pa, and an estimated reduction in CO2 Emissions of 46,304kg pa.
The System comprises of;
- 260W Solar Modules,
- SMA Sunny TriPower STP25000TL,
- SMA Sunny Portal Communications, and
- Clenergy Racking.
Structural Adequacy was the greatest challenge associated with this Project.
Due to the initial design of the Structure, the spacing between trusses were excessive, and in turn the purlin sizes were not suffice to carry additional load, so the modules had to be placed directly over the trusses.
